The 3750G doesn't support VRRP. I would generally prefer to use a switch to
a router for L3 within a LAN, since it will generally have a larger
backplane for L3 switching for the same price (32Gbps for 3750G versus about
500Mbps max for a 3945 router.)

I did see that the 3750-X series will support up to 256 instances, so that
could be an option, if you don't already have the switch...
