Achal,
it's not "hanging", it's connected.
You can tell by entereing the escape sequence (ctl-^ x) and you
should get the router prompt again.

The 2511 has 2 octal cables, one for 1-8 and the other for 9-16.
They might have RJ-45 or DB25. They should be labeled 1 to 8.

Is the other end connected to something ? You can try to connect
to a com port and see if your link is working each way.
You will not see echo! May be some port is fried, so test each
one and single the working ones, if that's the case.
