Try to renumber the v2 switch manually, if memory serves switch X
renumber Y on master, requires switch reset or switch slot reload.

Priority is for becoming a master in a stack, in a way it has nothing to
do with switch number in a stack. If I remember right, the number each
switch acquires is dependent on the order you brought switches up when
you first formed a stack (provided all switches were with blank config
and you didn't have any provisioned numbers). Most probably your 3750v2
was a switch No2 in some other stack. A switch would remember this after
leaving a stack so be aware of it.
