I've had issues like that before too....this set of configs on async lines
for reverse telnet to term servers seems to work nice for me...

exec-timeout 0 0
no exec
transport input all
telnet break-on-ip
telnet sync-on-break
telnet ip-on-break
flowcontrol hardware
... I have this on an old 2511 trm srvr in my lab

Hi Guys,
I have cabled up my lab and I have issues with my access server. I am
wondering if anyone has experienced this problem.
Whenever I power up my lab and try to access the console of each device I
find I have to clear the line multiple times before the connection is
accepted.
It looks like you can't clear a range of lines either and this becomes very
time consuming and annoying.
Any Ideas?
