RPF Check in Multicast Routing

Hi,

Sometimes we use static mroutes for fixing the RPF issues.

What I know about RPF check in multicast is that if for a destination X, the
outgoing interface for IPv4 traffic is the incoming interface for the
multicast traffic arriving from X, then the RPF check is passed

 I do not understand which mroute might fix an issue. Can anybody guide me
or refer to some article to clear this problem
