How important is convergence times? Humm ... a redesign huh? Sounds like
fun!
I do not know the answer to how much bandwidth is needed, i suppose it
depends on the size of your routing tables.
I might suggest to leave the EIGRP bandwidth as is, and instead research and
lab up EIGRP stub and using default / summary routes.
Just a thought, sorry if this does not directly answer your question.
