Agree with Dan, telnet is awful, but it should work nonetheless.

The issue I found is that you are not able to put spaces in the path
to the "telnet client" in the config file. So I had to see what was the
alias for the directory (c:\program files(x86) is c:\progra~2).

You can try teraterm too :)
