It should have environment control, and spin them down to a quieter
speed. (hint: 3 cables in the fan, 1 for tacho output)

If not (i.e. old chasis all time full speed) you may want to put them
on series (i.e. list red from one, black from the other and tape them
together).

As soon as you bring the speed down, they will be way down in noise.
And if you don't put 2Gbps on the interface, you should be fine :)
