The clue is actually right here in front of our eyes all along.
If you are the one (or your organization) that will be engineering and
supporting the device you may have to Cisco if that is your skill set.
Don't hide the total cost of ownership from the client. As a professional
consultant, I'm often asked why we don't recommend unix/linux OPENSOURCE
applications.
I remind them...
Microsoft
$65,000 systems engineer, $65,000 software
Linux/Unix
$130,000 systems engineer, $less for software (still not free)
If you are going to have to waste valuable time and efforts to support the
Juniper platform then you must consider this.
