Roman,
Have you done the ITIL foundations certification? If you haven't I think
going thru the process of learning ITIL process and procedure guidelines
will help you gain what you need. In my opinion it is what will probably
help you pass. I have spoken to Dave that has relayed information from him
and Jamie about this certification and I think their familiarity with the
process and procedures of ITIL, along with years of experience, is what
helped them to pass the exam.
I did the ITIL foundations course back in `02 or `03 when I worked for HP
and I feel that it is a bunch of bureaucratic crap but that is what they
want.
I don't think that people without real world experience working in a support
role are going to be successful with the exam so there will be some
challenges to developing content. How to teach someone experience with the
lack there of...

Very much so. It's a good lab. I never had to go more than twice before, and
now three failed attempts! Troubleshooting section is very well done, and it
deserves to have more things on it. Q&A is tough, and unfortunately it's
done in CCDE style (a.k.a. vagueness). This is why I made that comment about
training. Those who took CCDE know that there is no way to have trained for
it. It's all about 'beating the system'. But I shouldn't complain, Cisco
sets the rules

Do you think it's relevant to the real SP day-to-day operation?

Yeah, those "others" are me alone, no one else took it yet :) The first 2-4
guys were beta testers from V. After trying SP Ops lab three times with no
luck I can honestly say that no content, workbook or bootcamp will prepare
you for this track unless the author knows the test and writes content
around it without trying to break NDA. The troubleshooting section is quite
simple for those who have SP track and know IOS-XR, but good luck on the
question/answer section. If you took CCDE exam, you'll know what I'm talking
about.
