Policer on Catalyst switch linecard 6748 switchport in layer 3

Hi Experts,

Anyone have experience in configuring layer 3 switchport on linecard 6748?
Can share or show me the resources for the configuration? It is connected
directly to a MetroEthernet WAN and i will need to police some traffic. I
have try rate-limit command and service policy command but did not seen to
work.
