When configuring PfR you can specify what protocols you want the MTC to
"learn"....
So the command structure is roughly:
#oem master
#learn
#protocol
My question is about PROTOCOL: where are the different protocols documented
on CCO? If I have need to look up a protocol number or even a PORT number,
is there a good CCO document to search out during the exam?
Here is the link to the OER CREF:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/ios/oer/command/reference/oer_02.html#wp1032404
THE CREF for the command (protocol) points me to:
http://www.iana.org/assignments/protocol-numbers/protocol-numbers.xml
#protocol ?
<1-255> Specify the protocol number
tcp Learn top prefixes based on TCP protocol
udp Learn top prefixes based on UDP protocol
I am afraid of them saying " choose traffic based on protocol numbers for
x, y, and z", hence my question... Where on CCO can I look (diring the exam)
to find these protocol numbers?
I guess the basic protocol numbers are important to know, but still if it
is on CCO I would like to know:
Protocol number / Name of protocol
1 / ICMP
4 / IPV4
6 / TCP (not IPv6, in case you though it was!)
17/ UDP
41 / OSPF
47/ GRE
88 / EIGRP
89 / OSPF
any other "should knows" to add? Maybe after writing this email I won't
forget! :-)
