I've deployed both. I find the XMedius a little easier to deploy, however RightFax has Remote DocTransport servers which can be deployed remotely, not sure if XMedius has similar remote software board solution.

The DocTransport can act indepdently to receive faxes in event of WAN failure. For example you put main servers in US with remote servers in Asia, Europe, Africa, etc.

I still don't get why OpenText doesn't have their own free T.38 driver but instead sell a BrookTrout SR140 which has channel licenses.

Thanks Nick! Yea, i narrowed my solution to XMediusFAX Enterprise and RightFax 9.4 (Cisco Fax). Just currently looking at their Cons and Pro etc..and how well they integrate into CUCM, Microsoft UC.

I also purchased the book you've referenced, it seems to be a good book on FoIP

Cheers :)
