That at least lets me know its running. Now I will go try some .net files.

Hi Babatunde Sanda,

Since you mentioned windows 7, make sure you have the shortcut and/or script
enabled with non-admin permission.

Or, you can enable it to 'run as administrator'.

I haven't been touching my dynamips in Windows 7, but I recall some user
permission that is not enough to create the network socket required by
dynamips.

This can only be done as real 'administrator'. You may see your user as the
'administrator' of the system, however due to Windows 7's additional
security measurement, any tasks related with basic system functionality
requires 'run as administrator' rights upon running the program.

Another method to find out whether you have run the dynamips properly or
not:

- run the start server that you mentioned in your email

- once the window disappeared, open a command prompt

- type: netstat -an | find "720"

- if your dynamips started correctly, you should see 7200 and 7201 listed

I am trying to make it work in Windows 7. Is there something am missing.

If I don't change the "dynamips-start.cmd" as stated in the tutorial video
the dynamips server loads. But below is what is in the file

Any hint appreciated. Still trying but getting nowhere so far.
