Has one way to do it.

interface Serial1/0
 no ip address
 encapsulation frame-relay
 serial restart-delay 0
 frame-relay interface-dlci 102 ppp Virtual-Template1

interface Virtual-Template1
 ip address 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.0

and on interface Virtual-Template1, you can use ppp authen [chap|pap|esp] to
do authentication on this interface as well if you want.

interface/sub-interface and also without using unnumbered command.
