Asif,
There is nothing special about CCIE. If you've gone through uni courses it's
just like one of them.
Always do whatever you think best works for you; even it's changing your
plans every 30 minutes :) my experience says the stress of thinking about
"hey someone says X I'm doing Y" is more destructive than any other
distractor.
the only caveat, however, is that our human brain is not usually able to
maintain the same level of awareness on a certain topic when the learning
process is not followed by some hands on (or visual) experience. So IMHO, do
whatever works for you but please make sure for each learning block (aka
partition) you're going through the whole thing; i.e. Theories + Practice +
Lab + Grading + Whys
A little off-topic but the same logic holds good right before the lab date.
Some people say; have a very light dinner at 5PM(!), wash your hands and
teeth (Colgate recommended) and go to bed at 7PM...what I say is that if
it's your usual life plan that's fine; follow that; yet if you're USED to
staying up until 1 PM playing PS3 and then having a triple Fat burger, by
all means go for it.
Never try to change your life style right before the lab; live your normal
life and get your number.
