Totally agreed with what's been said here, but remember that redistribution
is NOT going to be like some of the work book exercises that you see out
there, it will be very important to get it right (No arguments there), but i
doubt that it will be ANYTHING close to what you see in some of the work
books.
I saw a redistribution task that a student of mine brought to the class and
honest to god it was RIDICULOUS. It took 3.5 pages of route-maps and etc to
resolve it.
Understand the concept and the tools that you can use to fix the problem;
remember there are Only 4 to 5 ways to fix a redistribution problems;
identifying those tools and practising them is much better than trying to
memorise topologies/scenarios.
I love some of the tasks in some of the work books, here is an example:
Redistribute on the appropriate router(s) such that my bathroom flushes
three times every 5 minutes and with every flush it sends 5 liters of water.
This is why most of the students fail, they do these stupid work books that
teaches them all the Ninja stuff, and when they get to the lab, they
configure things using the 007 style configuration, instead of simple,
regular solutions.
BTW, congrates to Joe Shepard for passing his R&S test, all the best mate, i
am sure you are still partyyyyyyyyyying.
