In my vast experience being recruited by partners (especially non-gold partners)
They seem very anxious to get my cert, once they hear its never been registered. they lack specifics about money more often than not- so I'm not ruling anything out- but make sure you advise them- having your number alone Is worth many thousands of dollars per year. You should be compensated 30,000 to 50,00 (or more for some of the harder tracks) before you ever go out on a case.

I mean, geek squad will pay you that to work for its corporate division from home as a corp-to-corp, why not get what you are worth?

Don't cry for these guys- the better ones sell tons of gear to people that could use network hardware resale, but instead pay full bill for new cisco.

I guess there is some validity here, but why would a Premier partner who is painfully aware of the certification process and how the partner program works want to hire an IE who they cannot use towards Silver (same applies for a Silver transitioning to Gold)? I don't think it's fair to condemn the partner for not yet having enough IE's on staff. There are business drivers here, a few extra points does help and not all companies start off at 3m+/yr net.

If you get ahold of Eman from ccieflyer, you might be able to work around the 12 month issue. Your current employer can also grant you the ability to disassociate your IE from them, but I believe without that grant they are allowed the 12 month get well period, during which you cannot use your IE somewhere else.
