Dear Gaurav,

As per my knowledge ,
Signatures and software run in AIP-SSM module is same that is used on IPS
4200 series .
If you are concern about througput IPS 4200 is good choice with more
interfaces but cost wise AIP-SSM is cheaper with ASA .
Use 6.x software ,that will support multiple Virtual sensors max 4 Virtual
sensors.
You can not use AIP-SSM module along with CSM module at a time but you can
convert AIP-SSM to CSM module by loading another image .
