Loopback0 in ubuntu for GNS3

Dear All,

So someone suggest me to use ubuntu instead of windows for gns3.
Now ... how can I change the ip address of lo interface in ubuntu 10.4.

As i cannot set cisco interface to be 127.x.x.x to simulate terminal server
/ console http://www.brainbump.net/tutorials/voice/termserv.htm

kinda urgent .. as i need to get "sh conf" , " conf t " as soon as possible
.........
time is ticking :(
