My recommendation is to at least skim over the relevant guides so that you have vague familiarity of what possibilities are out there for you, and so that you become extremely comfortable with where to find something in the event you get stumped. Reading them cover to cover in great detail....eh probably overkill but that is just my opinion.

Ok, so is it recommended to read an entire command reference for your code when preparing? Or is this over kill?
I have relied heavily con the conflagration guide when preparing and its come up short for me in my past lab attempts
and its only now through doing workbooks that I am realising that things are missing from the config guide that are very important.
I don't mean to say the config guide was my only source of prep, just that i have relied on it alot.
So how does one know when they have covered all the commands necessary to pass?

I would say generally no, not every single command is going to be covered in the configuration guide. Every single possible command that could be used is usually not covered in the configuration guides. That is the reason we have the command reference : )

Thanks Joe
But this leads me to another question, is everything in the command reference in the configuration guide?
