Hi,

Like others were saying, timer values mainly depends on your goals,
and normally subsecond convergence is the only reason to tweak your
timers. Using the "show ip ospf statistics" could be helpful to
estimate the minimum values of throttling hold-timers, but when
looking for convergence optimization you are more concerned with
setting the "initial" delays for SPF/LSA throttling to minimum
possible values. I finally made a blog post yesterday outlining some
reasoning behind the optimal timer value selection. You can find it
