Well we are using Layer 3 at distro.

Now when i say we have spanning-tree loops then it doesn't mean i am not
using spanning-tree enhancements like portfast, loopgaurd, bpdugaurd and so
forth. The problem is that no matter what you configure there are some
issues when spanning-tree fails completely even though you have configured
these things. We had a issue with a 3750 switches in stack. The way they
failed and caused issues is a corner case but it did happen in our network.
So i was looking for alternatives .
