Jack,
I'd configure the "traditional" way because I don't even want to take
even the small risk of getting the points in the "manual double check"
by the proctor.

Subject: OSPF config under router or interface ?

I personally prefer to configure OSPF under interface as much as
possible,
like OSPF v3 ipv6. I find that I make less typos that way compared to
configuring multiple network statements in router ospf section :)
But on the lab is there a default (preferred by proctors) method of
configuring OSPF?
Thx.
