If you are comfortable with setting up a unix box and the devices can be
managed by snmp try netdisco. It has a db that stores ip addy, mac
address,
port, switch, etc. It will tell you quantity of switch type, code type and
allows you to change / disable ports on the fly. Travis

Subject: OT : Network Mapping application
Does anyone know of a good application to poll a network and provide
information such as device IP's names, routes, system name and IP address
in a database or even a text file? Trying to avoid brute forcing it with
python/pearl.

Thanks,

Keegan
