RE: IPv6 static route

Is it possible that the show ipv6 route is showing the reachable network,
using a next hop of the IPv6 address of your neighbor.

I just labbed it up, and it seems ok. Here is the output:

R1(config)#do show history

  ipv6 unicast-routing

  interface Tunnel0

  ipv6 address 2001:CC1E:1212::1/64

  tunnel source Loopback0

  tunnel destination 2.2.2.2

  tunnel mode ipv6ip

exit

  ipv6 route 2003:1::/64 2001:cc1e:1212::2

R1#ping 2001:CC1E:1212::2

Type escape sequence to abort.

Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 2001:CC1E:1212::2, timeout is 2 seconds:

!!!!!

Success rate is 100 percent (5/5), round-trip min/avg/max = 56/66/80 ms

R1#
