Even easier... make your laptop tftp 10.0.0.2

When you reset the ap it looks for 10.0.0.2 (it uses 10.0.0.1) and will write any code named whatever.tar (get this the first time you try after reset) to flash and use :)

Here is how I did it (but you need a second AP that has the code you need)

On a working AP
ap1#archive tar /create c1130-k9w7-mx.123-7.JA1.tar
/c1130-k9w7-mx.123-7.JA1

This tar9s everything in the folder /c1130-k9w7-mx.123-7.JA1 to tar file
called c1130-k9w7-mx.123-7.JA1.tar
(200+ files in 20+ folders)

(On the AP9s everything except the config file is in a folder)

So on the non working one I used the aironet ROMmon equivalent (called ap:
mode) to wipe the flash and copy the ios. Then I booted into the ios (tons
of errors because non of the software for the radio was on the flash) then
I copied over the tar from the first step and then ran

Archive tar /xtract <tar file from step 1> /<folder to put it in>

Actual commands were....

ap2#mkdir c1130-k9w7-mx.123-7.JA1
ap2#archive tar /xtract c1130-k9w7-mx.123-7.JA1.tar
/c1130-k9w7-mx.123-7.JA1

This created all folders and files.
I then deleted the original IOS that I used for recovery and rebooted.

The first time I did this it took an hour... The second one took 5
minutes...

Email direct at the address below if I can help further
