Hey guys,
Im trying to implement VLAN maps and filters on my current work
network, for both training and real business purposes, I have a collapsed core
topology with 2 6509 core switches and 12 3700s access-layer switches, 6509-1
is VTP server, rest of the switches are VLAN aware and VTP clients.
Need to work on a specific vlan and make sure hosts on that vlan can only
communicate to other specific hosts inside that vlan.
only both 6509s are working on layer 3 with an SVI per vlan running HSRP
between them.
My question:
do I need to deploy vlan-maps on all the switches? if its not require on all
the switches, would it be better to do it as close as the source as possible
(3700s) or just on the core?
thanks in advance.
Fed.
