WCCP over GRE

Hi all,

I've been sitting with this problem for a while...

We have a 2621 12.2 running WCCPv2 dynamic service group 20 with a Bluecoat 5.4 over GRE.

The Bluecoat can register with the router, I run wireshark on the Bluecoat's switchport and can see the WCCP "here i am " and "i see u" messages.

On the router, it seems that the WCCP identifier is selected as the highest IP address, and I can't see any command to change that. The route back to the Bluecoat is not across that interface though. Now when the router redirects http requests, I can see that the outer IP header in the GRE packet has a source of the WCCP router identifier and not the outbound interface. This seems to cause a problem, because the Bluecoat does not proxy for these requests.

Any ideas on how to change the source address in the GRE header, or anything on the Bluecoat that could cause these requests to be ignored? I've really exhausted all my options here. Starting to think that GRE WCCP redirection does not really work. Have another setup with L2 WCCP that works just fine!

Regards,
Nico van Niekerk
