Well said.
I don't think having or not having OEQ is going to matter. From the sounds
of others who have seen them, if you can't do OEQ, you have other issues to
worry about on lab day. As long as you have to pass TS and the config
section, the test will still weed out the unqualified, that's what we are
all concerned about anyways, right? Keeping the value of the cert up for
those that put in the hard work to pass.
Sucks from a business standpoint if you are not a 360 vendor, I'd be upset
in their shoes too. I think the quality of the non 360 vendors workbooks
that I have seen (INE and Narbik's pre 360 book) are top notch and will
speak for itself, not the free pass on OEQ. If you choose to take a class
solely because of a waiver on some questions, more power to you. I for one
will sit the class that has good success stories and feedback from people
who actually took the class and then the lab.
I took Narbik's class and can't use the waiver because my lab date is booked
5 days before it goes into effect. Is that a big deal to me? No. I'm too
busy trying to nail down as much as I can to worry about whether or not
someone else is going to have to answer 4 questions or not. (Wait, why am I
wasting my time writing this?)
