I guess for all of us (me included) who still need to pass the lab,
it's just a matter of studying as hard as we always did and then the
OEQ won't be a problem.
I guess for all who are already CCIE, they know whether they passed by
blood, sweat and tears or by luck or by Pass4Sure or by this waiver,
and will have to live with their own conscience for the rest of their
life.
I know people who are not CCIE who know more than a CCIE.
I know I know more than some people who are CCIE.
In the end, it's "just" a certification and ultimately doesn't mean
anything. I agree that the playing field should be level, but we don't
make the rules, we just play by them. I once heard someone say that
they should change the rules of soccer to make it more attractive to
watch (like football). But hey, those are the rules, and if you don't
like them then don't watch soccer.
Having 30 minutes less time just means that I have to work harder to
pass. It's not impossible, and it just makes the victory sweeter... In
a fact, it's no different than it is now, and I have 13 R&Sv4 passes
on my list so there are more... If those people can, then we can too,
right?
Now, with all the time we all spend one this "news" we could have
learned something that could actually help us pass the lab (or the
OEQ), so I suggest we go back to the order of the day, and follow
Scott's advice: Knowledge is power. Power corrupts. Study hard and be
Eeeeviiiil...... and let the 360 guys get their waivers.
