Hi GS,
I read that the transit area between two ABR's when a virtual link is formed
must be a stub area. One thing that stucks my mind is that the two ABR's
would advertise Type 3 summary lsa for the default route into the transit
area. Therefore, there is a loop here since the default route is advertised
into the same area twice. Is this thinking correct? Can anyone clearly
elaborate why the transit area must not be a stub area when we form a
virtual link. Honestly, I haven't checked the archives but if there is one
posted already please ignore and I will try to find it.
Thanks.
