Dear Syed,
MPLS primarily relay on IGP protocol for the loop prevention. If loop
occurs, the TTL value in the label header prevent the infinite
looping. (TTL Propogation helps in this case)
In Cell mode MPLS, LDP uses an additional TLV (type length value) to
count the number of hops in an LSP.
