Not sure if this answers your question #3 but STP uses mac address that you
can find with "sh ver" command.

Subject: Mac Address of a switch

Hey Experts,

I have some simple queries regarding switch mac address concepts. Hope you
can explain or provide me a link for it...

1) What is the bia address (burned in address) used for ? is it just for
vendor identification for a particular port?

2)When we change the interface mac address with mac-address command
only the
interface mac change. can we change bia address as well?

3)where does SVI's get their mac address from and where does the switch gets
the mac address for STP calculations?

PLease help

Nick
