There's nothing to negotiate. There is no such thing as a
10/100/1000/10000 interface or a 10GE interface capable of anything else
but 10G and there is no half duplex 10G or even 1G. It may make an
appearance whenever 10G over copper becomes commonplace. possibly..

Is autonegotiation protocol supported on 10GE? I know it is supported on
10/100/1000 MB, but not sure on 10GE?
