Gary,

Black Hole is a term I use when I get stuck on a particular problem and
spend too much time figuring out the problem (wasting time). In the lab
you'll need certain things to work so others will. I've found myself playing
around with things too long, when I should move on to other tasks. The
answer usually comes to me while working on the other things. If you forget
something or get stuck move on to the next thing and come back to the
original issue.
