Re: Vendor rights

Gang - I've been following this thread from the beginning and enjoy
hearing opinions and thoughts from both students and other vendors.

I can tell you that I don't think there is a single IE vendor out
there enjoys cancelling classes - but it happens (and usually for a
good reason). Also - cancellation policies are clearly laid out on
most registration forms - so if you book reservations without
understanding the possibility of a class being cancelled - it's your
own fault.

With that being said - most vendors will cover these costs (we do)
associated with cancellation or moving a class.

The IE space is much, much different than other types of training. For
many Associate or Professional-level training companies - it's
standard policy to populate their schedule with "ghost dates" - but
honestly (as much as I hate giving competitors a compliment -grin-) -
most IE companies don't do this.

Again - it's a policy that all companies clearly define - and as a
buyer it's your duty to understand the cancellation policy, retake
policies and anything else that may end us causing you grief.

My suggestion would be to contact the vendor and try to resolve this
professionally - if possible.
