I just noticed that Cisco has a 12 port 3560 now: WS-C3560-12PC-S. The
list
is $1995.

The 12 port switch would be a little better than the 8 port
(WS-C3560-8PC-S)
for a home R/S lab. 12 ports should be enough for the vendors
topologies
and not have to move the cables around (and/or change the topology
slightly).
