I could NEVER take a ccie exam based on getting it before it changes.

I just don't get it. If you have a lab and take it before the change,
I get that. But if you're switching tracks because one seems easier
(before changes) , what are you trying to obtain? Merely the title
ccie ?

I'd feel like a tool doing that. It's like ur running from anything
that seems remotely difficult.

What about the knowledge?
