Benefits of the lab on virtual hardware?

Hey guys, the new lab is all on virtual hardware right? So does this mean reloads should be instantaneous or will it simulate the delay in loading the IOS from flash each time.
Anyone know any other advantage/ disadvantage to running it virtually?
