Marcin,
You don't need a direct physical connection for two routers to form a
virtual-link. What happens if R1's interface to area 0 goes down or goes
away? You still have a partitioned area 0 if you don't have a VL between
R2 and R3.

Ok, so my question is: do i need to have virtual links between r3-r1,
r1-r2, and r3-r2 or between r3-r1 and r1-r2 is good enough. Since r2 and
r3 do not have physical connection.
I hope this make sense guys

Marcin,
If possible could you make your scenario a lil more clearer ?
If I got it right with the hub having an attached area 0, then the
topology looks fine without any VL's.
Please post your observation ..

Tharak.

Internetwork expert workbook 5 volume II Lab 11.
If I have a network diag 2 spokes connected to a hub using frame relay
(no pvc between spokes)
In this could I run OSPF Are 134, and each of my frame relay routers
also connects to Area 0 mean that I need virtual link to complete Area
0.
My question is should I have VL between spokes and hub? Or also between
spokes as well?
