Jason,
To my taste, SP is a logical extension or flip side of RS if you will.
Completing SP with putting technology knowledge in focus would build you
strong for general routing and switching (enterprise and SP worlds).
On the other hand Voice is on high demand. Here in Australia Voice CCIEs are
paid higher than RS/SP ones. :-) I don't think it is fair but this is the
way it is.
Having dealt with CUCM for three years now, personally I don't like the
application-focused work. Maybe I haven't grown up enough to reach an
interesting part of it, like enterprise voice design? :-) Maybe. But all
this GUI and stuff. Prefer a black background and blinking cursor of CLI.
:-) Though I enjoy routing and switching voice (and other real-time)
traffic.
So you know your heart and do whatever you think works best for you. We all
can give you heaps of diverse advices; hear them up but follow your heart.
Hope that makes a bit of a sense.
A.
