If you are doing mpls in a hub n spoke frame setup it usually is needed

Didn't think about the timer difference...

What if there is no requirement for a specific timer? As long as the
interface type is the same on each side the adjacency forms without an
issue though.

Is there an advantage to advertising the /32 route?
