Re: CCIE written expiry

Alright, let's get something straight then. All this kind of animosity
comes out of the fact that (in my opinion) somebody thinks somebody else is
taking a shot at them. I perceived you taking a shot at me, and chances are
you felt the same about me from the way things have progressed and frankly
gotten out of hand.
Maybe you weren't taking a shot at me, but that's how it was perceived.
People tend to be defensive when they perceive they are being attacked by
others for no reason. I do believe you or anybody else with any self respect
would probably react similarly.

So look -- I'm willing to bury the hatchet on this if you were honestly not
looking to take a shot at me intentionally. Also, regarding your joke
obviously subtleties are not communicated in text the way they are in
person. If you were sitting across from me I'm sure I would have picked up
on your tone and your demeanor to understand you were joking. It's hard to
do that when you just say something flat out in an email.

Anybody out there reading this can attest to the fact that I've never been
involved in or interested in political discussion on GS. I challenge you to
find a thread, because there aren't any. I'm here because I love teaching
and I love technology, not because I want to tell anybody I think I'm better
than somebody else, or the material I work on is better than anybody else's.

With that being said, why don't we get back to the technology and stop
throwing stones at each other since it serves no useful purpose.
