structure a sound study plan for yourself, only you will know what works and
what doesnt. probably my best advice is take an accurate self-assessment of
where you are at now and generate your plan accordingly. Dont be afraid to
dial-back and go over things again, even if they seem basic (like
subnetting, etc) even though many take these things for granted, they can
bite you back lab day.

I took the CCIE lab 4 times, passed on the 4th attempt all while being
active duty in the military, having 2 very young children and finishing up
law school. If you want to talk about having no life, I had none for two
years easy but I still managed to stay healthy and get it done without
wrecking everything in the process. Your study plan must be rock solid and
you need to stick to it, that said it needs to be flexible to deal with the
everyday things that life brings upon you. The CCIE is very do-able, it just
sucks having to sandwhich it in with everything else.
