RE: Cisco IP Phone 7940

Hold down the # key, plug the phone in (either direct power or PoE), wait for the lights to flash in sequence, then hit 123456789*0#, then you can either keep the network config or not. The phone should reset and then download its code again.

i am trying to reset my ip phone 7940. when i press the settings button on the
device nothing happen. i am trying to restore the factory default. any help
