I was hoping for more clarity with relation to OEQ because it seems like the more I cram in my head, the less I remember. I remember it being said in one of the ask the expert sessions that we wouldn't have to memorize RFC#'s so I thought this might have been covered as well - no intention of breaking NDA, and I hope I didn't imply that. I'm great at finding this sort of stuff in the config guide, but the OEQ has got me freaking out... Keeping all the IPv6 designated networks, default timers for every protocol in IOS that use timers, protocol numbers, designated multicast addresses and networks, ethertypes, etc. committed to memory has been a bit of a challenge. Only a little over 2 weeks left.
The Cisco Press QoS Exam Cert. Guide was one of the first books I read in preparation, and I remember reading about the 8(x) + 2(y) formula, but that bit of knowledge had a DSCP value of EF (64, or 101110), was placed in the priority queue and transmitted out of memory months ago since you can do "match ip dscp ?" in a class-map and it's there listed out for you with binaries... Oh well...
Thanks for the help everybody who responded.

If you learn the structure about how PHB is laid out, there really isn't
any need for "memorization" in the mix.
Do you need to know it? Well, nobody can say until they run into it in
the lab exam. Then, the problem is that particular question won't be
asked any longer anyway, but anyone who tells you would technically be
breaking NDA anyway. :)
So maybe, maybe not?
