The scope of the RCDD is a little different, but interesting thought.
As for courseware then test, I STRONGLY disagree with that. At least at
an expert level. I'm not incredibly keen about it on any level, but
that's not really my call (train's already left the station). A SKILL
assessment or thought-process assessment is not something magically
contained in a course. Memorizing a checklist on page 86 should NOT be
the answer to a question. But that's just my thinking.
The old days were better when the CCIE group's mantra was the assess the
skills of experts, not be mired in the who is teaching whom or how to
test specific pieces about what's fair or what isn't.
Just my two cents.
And I'm sure "some" people have done things using lower-certified
folks. And there may well be well-qualified folks with only lower
certifications, but it seems a little hypocritical to say "come use our
material to pass this lab, but pay no attention to the fact that it
hasn't worked for our folks who wrote it".
