Guys,

Thanks for all the wishes!!!

Tony,

It was as difficult as the earlier one, but the most important thing that
helped this time was time management. For the first exam, I barely had time
to verify anything, I spent too much time on questions I couldn't answer,
added to that was the need to acclimatize oneself to the lab i.e.
environment, topology, format style of questions and of course those initial
jitters.

Narbik did give us tips on time management, but darn, when you're in that
lab, your nerves go haywire!! (first 1-2 hours). Haha..just like when
couples go for lamaze classes to prepare for delivery, but when the actual
time comes, all hell breaks loose. The knowledge was there but going in with
a calm and collected mind is equally important.

For my 2nd attempt, I made sure I took on the easy questions then moved on
to the difficult ones, and at the end of the lab, I had more than 1 hour to
verify all my tasks. At every round of checking, I found mistakes, it was
unbelievable. I could have lost valuable points!! Either it was something I
missed out, or the fact that I had misinterpreted the question. And I didn't
dwell on those questions which I couldn't answer.

Omar,

I passed the OEQ the first time, and I saw that questions can come from a
wide range of topics and can be rather tricky. I think the OEQ was easier
this time because I was better prepared. I devoured everything I could from
re-reading Doyle, exam guide (including the glossary!), Charles Kozierok's
TCP/IP guide etc.

Regards,

Mish
