Imran,
1stly, all the very best, if you know the stuff you will pass without
knowing the passing score... & Insha'Allah you will pass.
As all mentioned, passing score is 80 points. Some interesting
calculations and facts to keep in mind.
1. OEQ is 21 points. Lab is 79. You need total of 80 points to get CCIE.
2. OEQ requires 3 out of 4 questions to be right. OEQ score is 21 or
zero. Right Experts?
3. In the lab part you need minimum of 59 points out of 79.
4. You can lose maximum 20 points in the lab part.
5. If you lose points till the competition of IGP section, you might not
get full reachablity. E.g. If FR is not working (even if miss
"broadcast" keyword in FR mapping), FR will work but IGP won't..
similarly if L2 (VLANs, Trucking, STP etc) is not setup properly.. IGP
will not work... & if IGP won't work...BGP.. Multicast won't work.
6. After IGP, Security is another key part, where you might configure
some ACL that might block ip 89 for OSPF or 88/EIGRP etc.. and may break
IGP.
7. The best option is to have tcl ping script handy & test full
connectivity after do configure anything that may break IGP.
8. For the lab part 59 out of 79 is "minimum", don't count 59+21=80 &
leave... like Scott mentioned in his BLS!! :) Your 80 might not be lab
grader's 80! ;)
Well I will have my 1st attempt in 10 days... & Good Luck. BTW where is
your exam?
Experts,
Is this right that these days labs are graded in 2-3 Hrs after you
finish or that depends on the location?
Cheers,
Azhar Mirza

Subject: CCIE LAB Scoring.
Dear All,
I will be appearing in LAB exam on 10th September 2009, I need to know
about
the LAB scoring, what is the passing score for the LAB exam, and what if
I
stuck in attempting some questions and leave them and move ahead for
other
questions that are not related to that tasks.
Please clearify me before I go to LAB.
Thanks,
Imran
